Mind Control Marketing, Scam or Masterpiece?

The most powerful Marketing book ever written? Quite possibly!

I’ve just gotten an e-book copy of Mark Joyner’s classic book, ?Mind Control Marketing?. I’ve wanted to buy this book for years, but I’ve never been able to get my hands on it.

Effective Article Marketing

Article Marketing Is Changing

is one of the most widely used methods of promoting a website and making money online. It's not just those people submitting articles to article directories who should be considered to be an article marketer. Every hub on hubpages.com, every lens on Squidoo.com was put together by an article marketer. Whether they call themselves that or not.

Article marketing is changing rapidly with the advent of «Web 2.0», and social networking sites. What worked back in 2006 isn't so effective any more. But article marketing and marketing with articles will continue to grow in popularity and become even more powerful than it was back then.

Back in the day, you could submit an article to hundreds of article directories and everyone of them would give a reasonablly powerful «back link» to your site. For a time is was a marketers paradise, but you can see why the good times had to come to an end.

When something becomes «easy» it tends to become low quality. This is definately what happened to traditional «old style» article marketing.

What killed old style article marketing?

In my logical opinion, old style article marketing was killed by 3 things.

1. The proliferation of article directories on the Internet. So called «Internet Marketing Guru's» made it too easy for «wanabees» to own their own directory. This in itself would not have been so much of a problem had it not been for....

2. Automatic article submission software. These were the real killer. With all that spammy content being submitted to all those spammy directories, Google had to do something. The changes they made hurt even the good quality content and top authors. (Traditional article marketing is less effective for everyone as a result of this).

3. All the hype about making easy money with «Google Adsense» that has been stuffed down the throat of everyone in Internet marketing circles since 2005. Without this hype they would have been less people wanting to own their own article directory.

With all that unmoderated, duplicate, «spammy» content filling up the article directories, the «Big G» had to do something. So they stopped passing link authority from all but a handful of article directory sites. You can no longer use alone to increase your Google Page Rank and SERP's.

But that does not mean that you cannot get traffic from traditional article marketing or that it does not have it's place in your overall online marketing strategy you just need to be more selective about where you submit your content and more importantly, the content that you submit.

The Ultimate Article Marketing Revenue Sharing System

AdSpace articles is a new concept in , which gives full control over the ad space in the articles to the article author. This benefits them in 2 ways.

1. The most obvious, they take all the money generated from the ad space directly. Having full control over the ad space, authors can even sell space within their articles privately.

The main business model of any or «group content» site relies mainly on the revenue from ad space. Many sites are willing to share this revenue with the authors, but only one site (that I know of) gives full control over the ad space to the author... And ALL the revenue!

2. A less obvious benefit to the AdSpace articles model is the «elimination» of competing ads in your content. This is usually the biggest drawback of article marketing to the author. They submit their articles to other sites and within their content are targeted ads.

Yes TARGETED ads, unless you are PAYING to , those ads within your content will no doubt be promoting your competitions website. Your hard work is making sales for them! Sure you might be getting a piece of the pie if the site is sharing revenue with you, but it's nothing compared to the money you would have made if the ad was making sales for you... or if you were the «broker» selling the traffic.

AdSpace articles give you full control over what does and what does not appear along side your content. You can even remove the ads completely if you so wish.

How to work out and profit from joint venture deals

The world's quickest fortunes are achieved almost entirely by joint ventures and are responsible for trillions of dollars just in the United States

A joint venture is a partnership that equally benefits two or more parties wh share their resources or expertise. Joint ventures can be long-term, such as promoting a product or companion products together, or they can be short-term, such as trading products and services.

For example, I have new software for text to speech but no customers. You have a headset manufacturing company with a customer base. We then agree that you will promote my software with every headset you ship. This promotion can be by shipping a trial version of it, endorsements or any other way to refer customers to it. I can then agree to promote your headsets or possibly agree to monetary compensation.

What are some of the other benefits of a joint venture?

A joint venture can offer introduction to new geographical markets and new distribution outlets.

An extreme and exceptional example of this is a little company called Microsoft. The head of this small company had some software called MS-DOS and no customers. He reached a deal with a company called IBM who made computers and was already a known and respected company in the computer industry. They also had a large number of customers. The deal was for every computer sold, it would have MS-DOS already installed with the agreement that this little company called Microsoft would give lifetime upgrades for its software. Well, the rest is history and it made the head of that small time company a billionaire by the time he was 31 years old.

Another benefit would be the mutual use of experts in other areas of expertise and or technology. By using the above example for this point, the computer company has a great writer and the software company's programmers are not good at explaining how this software works or what it can do. The computer company's writer can then be used for a tutorial on how to use the software along with the tutorial on how to operate the computer. This then will make using the computer and software much easier for the customer. This promotes brand loyalty for both the software company and the computer company.

Marketing expenses are shared. You now have more exposure but your marketing budget is the same as before. You are getting twice as much for the same cost.

You can now offer your customers new products or services and also increase your credibility by being partnered with an already reputable and branded company.

You gain from learning other valuable skills and knowledge.

The ability to find and target new markets is simplified.
These are just a few of the benefits, the list is endless. As you think about doing a joint venture you will come across many more and some may be unique to your business.

So just how do you go about setting up a joint venture? It would be possible to go through trade magazines, yellow pages or web site search for businesses that are in your targeted market. Research these businesses and then contact them with a proposal.

We suggest you first find out who has the necessary reputation and the credibility needed in your target market. This can very well be contacts that you already have. This is a faster way to start because someone you know and have a relationship with would be easier to speak with about a joint venture.

There are some other excellent places to find a willing joint venture partner.

Seminars or Workshops
People who are serious about expanding and growing their business will spend money to get information from this type of activity.

Business suppliers or other business contacts
If a mutual friend who is respected by both parties makes the introduction, part of the process is done. It is almost like an endorsement from a third party. It can go along way to building trust with your potential partner.

Join online discussion groups and forums
This approach has a double benefit. It will not only expose you to experts in your target market, but you have a chance to evaluate them to decide if there is someone you want to be associated with. It also will give you an idea of what the market's general opinion is of the potential partner's credibility and reputation.

You may also want to join a membership association. These associations will normally provide a member list that would give you the contact information, web site, if any, and also the business name. It may even send out regular newsletters or host monthly events that could lead to some meetings face to face with potential partners.

What Makes A Good Article?

The longest part of writing any article is the research. Many good article marketers spend hours researching what to write about and what keywords to target. They feel that this is what makes a good article.

But is it really?

I believe that anyone is capable of writing a high quality article, even without dong any real research. That includes dyslexic, D-average English students like me. (Yes, I have my work edited and spell check has become a very good friend.)

When I'm interested in a topic, I can write about it for hours AND make it interesting. I am interested in article marketing and learning how to get the most out of my articles, so I can teach the authors of at this site how to do the same.

So what makes a good article? Is it the time and research you put into your subject? Or is it writing about something that interests you?

It's my opinion that writing something from your heart is a better option. Your readers can «feel» your energy and enthusiasm through your writing. Not to say that you can't gain that interest in the subject through your research, but having passion is certainly going to help.

The professional article marketer takes his time researching what to write about and what keywords he wants to target. To him (or her) it's not just research, it's what he loves to do. He already knows what to write about and what other sites in his market will link to, because he has a finger on the pulse of the market!

Is an article good based on how you market it? Possibly!

How good of an article marketer are you?

I'd love to hear your opinion. Please add your comment below.
